Adventure Forever invites you for one of the most amazing backpacking trip to mystical Hampi to experience history, ruins and cafes like Hippies. Hampi is a small yet enchanting temple town located on the banks of the River Tungabhadra, bounded by the intriguing historical ruins of Vijayanagara city in the state of Karnataka. Packed to bursting with rock cut temples, towering piles of boulders, buzzing backpacker enclaves and fascinating history, non-pushy Hampi has everything you need to have a truly fantastic time. Hampi has an air of lost glory and yet many of the temples and rock carvings, depicting beauties and beasts, gods and demons, are still in excellent condition. Even if you have only the faintest interest in Indian history, travelling to this village offers a fantastic opportunity to soak in a sight of real historical importance.

About:
Hampi (Hampe) is a historic temple town recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed as the Group of Monuments at Hampi. Located in northern Karnataka, India close to the Andhra Pradesh border and near the city of Hosapete, Hampi was established as the capital of the Hindu Vijayanagara Empire in the 14th-century. Chronicles left by Persian and European travellers particularly the Portuguese state Hampi as a prosperous, wealthy and grand city near the Tungabhadra river with numerous temples, farms and trading markets. The Vijayanagara Empire was defeated by a coalition of Muslim Sultanates, its capital Hampi was conquered, pillaged and badly damaged by Sultanate armies in 1565, after which Hampi remained in ruins.

Day 0 – Friday
10th Nov 2017 Evening 5.00 PM board the bus for Hospet
On the way dinner halt @9.30PM

Day 1 – Saturday
Reach hostpet in the morning by 9AM and move towards Hampi by local transport and check into the cozy guest house. After breakfast enjoy your day sightseeing the ancient ruins in and around Hampi Bazaar and the nearby riverside area and most sacred enclave of the architecturally rich Virupaksha temple. Explore the ancient temples on Hemakuta Hills. Have Delicious South Indian Meal. Climb towards Mantanga Hill for one of the most beautiful Sunset. Spend rest of the time chilling at Hampi Bazaar. Overnight stay in Hampi.

Day 2 – Sunday
Good Morning! Enjoy the beautiful Sunrise from Hemkunta Hills. Reach the banks of Tungabhadra for Coracle Ride. Start exploring the remaining ruins and temples – famous Vittala Temple Complex, Stone Chariot, Queen’s palace, Elephant Stables, Shiva Temple, Pushkaraani, Mahanavmi Dibba, Museum and the count goes on. Later in the evening pack your bags and head back to Hospet. Bus back to Mumbai.

Day 3 – Monday
Reach Mumbai by 9.30AM
Trip concludes with happy memories:)

3. Electral Powder / Energy bars / Dry Snacks (dry fruits. biscuits, plum cakes etc.)
4. Good grip quality shoes – Must (Please check soles of your shoes and get them stitched if necessary)
5. Slippers (optional – at the end of day so that your feet can relax)
6. Torches (Compulsory)
7. Personal Medication (if any)
8. Toiletries (Napkin, face wash, tissue paper etc.)
9. Cap, goggles, sunscreen, moisturiser, mosquito repellent etc.
10. Windcheater, head wear
11. Camera (Optional)
12. Extra pair of cloths
13. Proper Backpack to carry all these things
14. A Day Bag to hold camera, water bottles and essential during sightseeing

Cancellation and Refund:
● If done prior to 20 days of outing 100% will be refunded
● If done prior to 15 days of outing 80% will be refunded
● If done prior to 10 days of outing 50% will be refunded
● After that no refund will be provided

Important Note:
– This is Backpacking version of trip – Sometimes low on Leisure and But always High on experiences.
– Trip involves walking, cycling and Moped ride (Shared)
– Do not wear precious Jewellery during the trip, as we won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
– Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
– Mountains are a place of rich natural beauty. Hence, it is our duty to keep them free from garbage. So please do not litter. One is expected to deposit all wrappers/empty water bottles etc. in his/her own bag.
– This is Adventure related activity, means you are away from comfort zone.
– We are here to provide you with a best experience and 100% safety.
– Due to the monsoon season and various rock patches in this route, we recommend you to please take care while walking / climbing / trekking.
– Rock Climbing, Rappelling, Trekking or any adventure activity is potentially risky.
– For all such a events, you are at your own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any accident or compensation in whatsoever manner.
– You should strictly follow the code of conduct, to avoid troubling our fellow trekkers or other people from our group or outside.
