Night Trek to Kohoj Fort

Adventure Forever invites you for a thrilling night trek to Kohoj Fort. Kohoj is a medieval military fortification located near Palghar in Palghar district in Maharashtra. The fort is said to be about 800 years old and finds a mention in the Purandar treaty along with 22 other forts which were surrendered by Shivaji to the Mughals on 11 June 1665.

The route of this trek is 70% shadowed with dense forest, a big lake at the base and few water sources on the way and many water tanks on the top makes it a pleasant trek & also famous for Human pinnacles. The 3 hours hike to Kohoj fort has all ingredients for a pleasant small eco adventure landscape reflecting in small lakes, hills, plateaus, misty atmosphere, floraand fauna. The atmosphere and view from the top is mind blowing. Witness the blissful sunrise at the unique man shaped pinnacle and adore the morning view. Explore the fort and capture memories before you start descending.

Brief Itinerary:
Day 0 –
18.30 – Gather at Thane Railway Station outside Platform 10 ticket counter & move towards base village in a private vehicle.
(On the way pick-up available)
21.00 – Reach base village. Introduction & dinner. (Reaching to base village on time is Subject to Road Traffic)
21.30 – Start trekking

Day 1 –
01:00 – Reach Kohoj Plateau. Rest & Campfire. Enjoy the night with your friends in this beautiful vicinity.
05.30 – Wakeup call & freshen up
06:00 – Start trekking to pinnacle and explore. Witness a magnificent view of Sunrise.
08:00 – Let’s prepare Breakfast/Tea
10:00 – Start descending
12:30 – Reach at base and have fun in lake
14:00 – Home made Lunch in base village.
15.00 – Depart for Mumbai by private vehicle

Fees: Rs.1200
– To be paid in advance
– Half non-refundable if cancelled till Friday
– Completely non-refundable if cancelled on last day or no-show
