About

The Everest of the Maharashtra, Kalsubai Peak (5400 ft.) is the highest peak of the mountain range of Sahyadri. Kalsubai Peak is part of the Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary which spreads from Kalasubai to Harischandragad. On Kalsubai Peak top you can see a small temple of Kalsubai. Ratangad, AMK (Alang-Madan-Kulang), Harishchandragad, Ahivant, Saptashrungigad, Markindya, Dhodap, etc. can be spotted from the Kalsubai Peak. Kalsubai Peak is a dream trek of every passionate trekker in Maharashtra to climb it at least once.

Brief itinerary

Day 1 –
22:50 – Take CST-Kasara local (22.50 from CST). You can board in between stations.

Day 2 –
01:18 – Reach Kasara, This is the final meeting point. Travel to base village Bari in private vehicle. We will stop on the way in dhaba for a break
03:00 – Reach base village and rest for few hours.
05:00 – Wake up call, freshen up and have breakfast and tea.
06:00 – Start trekking after introduction and briefing.
09:30 – Reach the top and enjoy the beautiful vicinity.
10:30 – Start descending toward base village.
13.00 – Reach base village
13.30 – Have delicious local cuisine lunch and rest for some time.
15.00 – Start back journey towards Kasara.
16.30 – Reach kasara and take next train for Mumbai.
18.30 – Reach Dadar tentatively.

Things to carry

1. Identity proof
2. Water Bottle (2 Liters Compulsory)
3. Electral Powder / Energy bars / Dry Snacks (dry fruits. biscuits, plum cakes etc).
4. Good grip quality trekking shoes – Must (Please check soles of your shoes and get them stitched if necessary).
5. Personal Medication / First Aid kit
6. Toiletries (Napkin, facewash, tissue paper etc.).
7. Cap, goggles, moisturizer, mosquito repellent etc.
8. Proper Backpack to carry all these things
9. Camera (Optional)
10. Rain wear (Jacket / Ponchos )
11. Extra Pair of Clothes (as per schedule)
12. Sleeping bag / mat / bed sheet (as per schedule)
13. Slippers (optional – at the end of day / trek so that your feet can relax).

– Do not wear precious Jewelry while trekking, as we won’t be responsible for any losses for the same.
– Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
