Monsoon trek to Matheran Sunset Point

Adventure Forever invites you to one of the amazing trek to Matheran sunset point via Panvel. This is the most scenic route during monsoon among other routes. Beautiful views of the surrounding area – forests, valleys and ridges all can be seen from Sunset point. Serene waterfalls can also be seen on the neighboring hills.

About

Matheran is a hill station and a municipal council in the Raigad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a hill station in Karjat Tahsil and is also the smallest hill station in India. Matheran, which means “forest on the forehead” (of the mountains) is an eco-sensitive region, declared by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India. It is Asia’s only automobile-free hill station.

Brief itinerary

07.20 – Meet at Panvel station and leave for base village Dodhani
09.00 – Reach base village and have breakfast
09.30 – Have introduction session and start the trek through beautiful trail
12.30 – Reach Sunset Point and explore around
13.30 – Have luch
14.00 – Move towards louisiana point and explore (small hike)
15.30 – Move towards Dasturi Naka and take cab for Neral
17.00 – Reach Neral and have evening snacks
17.30 – Start return journey by train
20.00 – Arrival at Thane station
21.00 – Arrival at Dadar station

– Consuming liquor or any kind of Alcoholic substance is prohibited. Carrying any kind of substance that’s illegal is not allowed. Smoking is strictly not allowed. Anybody found smoking or consuming alcoholic drinks will be expelled from the event without refund.
